No, you do NOT. There is no membership or subscription required to access anything on the STEPR+ including all of the on-demand classes, scenic sessions or streaming & entertainment features.

First, this was the first Stair climbing machine me and my family ever set foot on. I had no previous experience with these types of machines. I decided to go with the Stepr Pro without the tv screen.
The decision:
I did so much research and comparison to reach the decision to buy this machine but here’s what won it for me:
I want to lose weight and I found that the stair climber is one of the best cardio and weight loss machines.
My wife wanted a form of cardio where she can prioritize her glutes (ps she hates running).
I had a treadmill and sold it because I found it better and more beneficial to run outside (there’s nothing like REAL running)
I decided not to get the screen because I do more HIIT and there’s no way I could pay attention
The buying process;
The price is more in the higher end than traditional cardio equipment but Stepr makes it affordable and a very good value. Buying from the competition is very complex due to not being able to buy directly or only available as commercial products.
I used my work’s FSA to pay for almost half of the machine- the competition stair climbers do not offer this!
The owner reached out to help in the buying process and helped answer my concerns and questions.
It was very easy to check out and straightforward
Shipping and assembly:
Shipping was fast and it came almost pre assembled ( I just had to put the top and bottom together(very easy).

I would be very happy with the machine but for its tendency to error during my workouts. When this happens I lose all of my workout data. Nothing will clear the error except powering down the machine. Steps are a bit small and not really comfortable when trying to skip steps

Then when assembled the Stepr makes a lot of noise, very loud. I’ve emailed customer service but haven’t heard back.

The new covers shipped to you on 1/15 and delivered 1/22. Please let me know if you received them.

Assembling the Stepr Pro wasn't too bad at all. All in all took me about 45 minutes by myself. I would recommend having another person help since there's one part of the assembly that would make it easier which is mounting the screen but I was still able to do it by myself.
Other than that the machine is great. I had some issues with how slow the touch screen was but you have to make sure it's connected to a 2.4GHZ band only and it works fine. Other than that Paramount+ doesn't work since it requires some update that Stepr is still waiting on.
If you're looking to take classes like Peloton just note that they do require downloading before it starts so can take a few minutes. I typically just use the manual mode and watch something on Netflix or Amazon Video.
